Spend the summer helping to build and run a Vermont campground
We're looking for someone to join our team this summer at Lake Champagne, a beautiful 100 acre campground in central Vermont. If you want hands-on experience in outdoor hospitality, exposure to entrepreneurship and how a small business actually runs, and a summer that doesn't look the same hour to hour, keep reading.
What you'll do
Welcome every guest
Check-ins, the camp store, the phone. You're the person who makes a 4-night stay feel like a return-next-year stay.
Keep the campground beautiful
Bathhouses, laundry, shared spaces, and the glamping units between guests (dome, safari tents, rental RV). Bedding, restocking, sweeping. The details are the difference between a stay people love and one they don't.
Help with whatever else comes up
A pavilion setup, a picnic table that needs to be repaired, an extra hand during a check-in rush. Camp life is unpredictable.
Who you are
You like meeting new people
Hospitality is half the job. You enjoy meeting new people, you can read a room, and you make guests feel welcome from the moment they pull in.
You take pride in the details
A well-appointed glamping unit, a clean bathhouse, a smooth check-in. The small stuff matters and adds up to an exceptional guest experience.
You're ambitious and curious
You want to learn how things work, not just check boxes. You ask questions and bring ideas.
You roll with it
Camp life is unpredictable. You stay calm and figure it out.
Opportunities to grow
We're a small team building Lake Champagne, and there's more to do than we can do alone. Just a few of the areas where you could contribute beyond the core responsibilities:
Social, content and photography
We're starting from nearly zero, so if you're good with a camera or have grown a social account, there's a lot of room to make an impact.
Marketing
Email, partnerships with Vermont brands, website content, event ideas.
AI-enabled operations
Build smart workflows to streamline processes so we can all spend more time building the things that will keep guests coming back.
Who we are
We're Adam and Sean, two friends who connected over a shared love of the outdoors. We have backgrounds in high growth startups and outdoor recreation. This is our first year running Lake Champagne Campground, and we have big plans. We're excited to add one or two new members to our team. We love working with people who are as excited as we are about the opportunity here.
